How to Setup Email with Xzito's Hosted Exchange Server

Web Access:

  1. Visit owa2010.exchangecentral.net
  2. Enter Email and Password
  3. Done

Outlook PC (manual):

  1. If Outlook is currently running, then please close it now.
  2. On your computer, click the Start button, select Control Panel, and then open Mail by double-clicking.
  3. In the Mail Setup dialog box, click Show Profiles.
  4. Click on the Add button and give the new profile a name of your choice.
  5. Now you have to click "Manually configure server settings or additional server types" and click "Next".
  6. On the "Server Type" screen, select "Microsoft Exchange Server" and click "Next".
  7. On the "Exchange Server Settings" screen, enter "Outlook.UC2.chicago.hostway" as the Exchange Server, and your full email address as the User Name.
  8. Click "More Settings..."
  9. On the "Microsoft Exchange Server" screen, Click on the "Connection" tab, place a checkmark in the checkbox for "Connect to my Exchange mailbox using HTTP", and click "Exchange Proxy Settings..."
  10. On the "Exchange Proxy Settings" screen, enter "owa2010.exchangecentral.net" for the "Use this URL to connect to my proxy server for Exchange:"
  11. Verify that "Connect using SSL only" is selected
  12. Click the checkbox for "Only connect to proxy servers that have this principal name in their certificate.", and enter "msstd:owa2010.exchangecentral.net" into the text field below that is now available.
  13. Check both "On fast networks, connect using HTTP first, then connect using TCP/IP", and "On slow networks, connect using HTTP first, then connect using TCP/IP"
  14. In the section "Proxy authentication settings", choose "Basic Authentication" for the dropdown menu, then click "OK".
  15. Click "Next" on the "Email Accounts" screen, then “Finish”.
  16. Open Outlook. When prompted, enter the user name (full exchange email address) and password.

Outlook for Mac:

  1. Launch Microsoft Outlook 2011.
  2. In the Startup Wizard, click Next. If the Startup Wizard doesn't automatically display, from the Tools menu, select Accounts, and then click + or Exchange Account.
  3. On the Accounts page, enter the following: E-mail Address: your full Exchange e-mail address. Method: Select User Name and Password. User Name: Enter your full email address. Password: Enter the password you created for your email account.
  4. Select Configure automatically, and then click Add Account.
  5. Once your server is located, click Allow, and then exit the window, then click Send/Receive.

iOS devices (iPhone & iPad):

  1. From the Home screen, navigate to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account
  2. Select Microsoft Exchange.
  3. Enter the following settings: Email Address/Username: your full Exchange e-mail address. Password: your password for this Exchange account. Server: owa2010.exchangecentral.net Domain: UC2 SSL: Enabled. Port: 443. Tap Next.
  4. If you see the message, "Unable to Verify Certificate", then tap Accept.
  5. You should now be prompted to select the functions you wish to synchronize: Mail, Contacts, and Calendars.
  6. Tap "Done".

Android devices:

  1. From your Home screen, navigate to Settings > Accounts > Add Account.
  2. Select Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync.
  3. Enter the following settings: Email Address/Username: your full Exchange e-mail address. Password: your password for this Exchange account. Server: owa2010.exchangecentral.net Domain: UC2 SSL: Enabled. Port: 443. Select "Next".
  4. Select data to sync (Mail, Contacts, and Calendars). 5. Tap "Finish Setup".

 Blackberry devices (with ActiveSync support):

  1. From the menu, navigate to Settings > Accounts (in "System settings") > Advanced (in "Add accounts" screen)
  2. Select Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync.
  3. Enter the following settings: Email Address/Username: your full Exchange e-mail address. Password: your password for this Exchange account. Server: owa2010.exchangecentral.net Domain: UC2 SSL: Enabled. Port: 443. Push: Enabled.
  4. Select data to sync (Mail, Contacts, and Calendars). 5. Tap "Done".

Windows Phone:

  1. From the App list, navigate to Settings > Email + accounts > Add an account.
  2. Select Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync (Outlook)
  3. Enter the following settings: Email Address/Username: your full Exchange e-mail address. Password: your password for this Exchange account. Server: owa2010.exchangecentral.net Domain: UC2 SSL: Enabled. Port: 443. Push: Enabled.
  4. Select data to sync (Mail, Contacts, and Calendars).
  5. Tap "Done".
